 CalJAS Board Member promotes benefit:

Windsong Southland Chorale, based in La Verne, and I Want To Help Africa, based in Claremont, have teamed up to present a pair of Benefit Concerts on Saturday, May 30, at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Munson Chapel, Azusa Pacific University, 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa.   The songs in “Sounds of Africa”, comprised of all African music seldom heard in America, was carefully researched and selected by Windsong Artistic Director, Dr. Janet Harms. Percussion students ​ at Bonita High School in La Verne, ​  will take part in the concerts, as well as Windsong’s outstanding long-time accompanist, Felix Macovei.  Mark Ruble, President and Founder of I Want To Help Africa will show a brief video, explaining the work of his organization in Zambia and Zimbabwe.  A 50/50 drawing will be held.  To guarantee seating, order tickets by calling 909 983-9879, or online at www.iwanttohelpafrica.org Advance tickets are $15, $10 for students, $30 for families with children 6-18.  All tickets are $20 at the door.
