ALL THAT JAZZ (formerly Claremont Straight Ahead) is now aired on KSPC 88.7 FM & www.kspc.org from 3:00 til 5:00 PM on Saturdays, (rebroadcast at 2:00 AM on Sundays). The show has a broader jazz format, still primarily straight-ahead and jazz related vocals but sprinkled with other genres like Dixieland, Latin, fusion, smooth, free jazz, etc

CalJAS Board Member promotes benefit:
Windsong Southland Chorale, based in La Verne, and I Want To Help Africa, based in Claremont, have teamed up to present a pair of Benefit Concerts on Saturday, May 30, at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Munson Chapel, Azusa Pacific University, 901 E. Alosta Ave., Azusa. The songs in “Sounds of Africa”, comprised of all African music seldom heard in America, was carefully researched and selected by Windsong Artistic Director, Dr. Janet Harms. Percussion students at Bonita High School in La Verne, will take part in the concerts, as well as Windsong’s outstanding long-time accompanist, Felix Macovei. Mark Ruble, President and Founder of I Want To Help Africa will show a brief video, explaining the work of his organization in Zambia and Zimbabwe. A 50/50 drawing will be held.
